The Indiana State Fair is doing something different this year. Instead of promoting an agriculture product, the fair will take on circus atmosphere with the theme "Step Right Up!"
The fair's theme usually revolves around something farmers raise and you eat, such as corn, tomatoes, cows, pigs and soybeans. Last year's theme was the all-encompassing "Wonderful World of Food."
But this year the focus is entertainment: Acrobats, trapeze artists and the famous clown Bello Nock — but no "exotic animals," according to a fair press release — will perform three times a day. The shows, performed by Big Top Circus and sponsored by Bee Window, will be free with fair admission.
