    Miami will not see new art project by Guy Laliberte, co-founder of Cirque du Soleil

      Breathtaking pyramid in Old Port of Montreal is a project of famous Cirque du Soleil co-founder Guy Laliberte. Immersive project called PY1 is a multimedia space and nightclub after sunset had plans to premiere at Island Gardens in Miami Beach, FL on November 29 during Art basel. 

      Laliberte's company Lune Rouge has created a 50min spectacle "Through the Echoes" inviting audience "to travel through space and time like in a walking dream". Show is made with new technologies - lasers, kinetic elements on stage and music, but project didn't show great results this summer in Montreal and plans has been changed to move to New York instead of performing in Miami.       PY1 representative said that due to unforeseen logistical circumstances... that are beyond our reasonable control, we will be unable to present the PY1 in Miami... of the coming season. All pre-sale tickets purchased will receive full refund as well.

      Also, in regards of recent scandal with cannabis possession, when co-founder of Cirque du Soleil Guy Laliberte was arrested and later released without charges or conditions in Tahiti, in his statement released by Lune Rouge said that : "“disproportionate importance given to this matter, which is generally trivialised for someone in possession of several plants of cannabis for strictly personal use, greatly surprises me”.
